The City of Dauphin posted a “Snow Clearing Notice — December 11 – 12, 2025” on its Local Notices page on December 11, 2025, signalling the start of municipal snow‑clearing operations for those dates and warning residents that parking bans and temporary access restrictions may be in effect across the city.

The notice follows the City’s standing Snow Clearing policy, which divides Dauphin into five Snow Zones and uses a priority sequence for clearing: Priority Routes first, then Snow Zones, then driveways only when a ridge of 12 inches

Public Works & Operations is leading the work, with Bylaw Enforcement handling parking‑ban compliance; the City lists Bernardo Pasco as Director of Public Works & Operations and names a Bylaw Enforcement Officer responsible for ticketing and towing when vehicles remain on streets during bans. The City uses a few ways to get the word out: website notices, an email subscription service, orange parking‑ban signs posted in affected areas, announcements on local radio such as 730 CKDM, and the electronic sign at City Hall. Environment Canada’s forecasts and warnings for the Dauphin area provided the weather context that commonly triggers these municipal responses.

For residents that means two practical things: move vehicles off streets in a declared Snow Zone while the Parking Ban is active, and be prepared for short‑term disruption to on‑street parking and downtown access as crews clear priority routes and business areas. The City’s policy also notes that private driveways will not be cleared of the machine‑made windrow unless the ridge meets the 12‑inch threshold, so homeowners should plan for that. The City’s Local Notices page and the Snow Clearing policy page are the official sources for which zones are affected and for timing updates during the December 11–12 operations.
