Henderson Elementary School will host a vaccination clinic in its gymnasium at 911 Bond Street in Dauphin on January 12, 2026. The clinic is expected to follow Prairie Mountain Health’s typical school-clinic hours — generally 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM for students, with an after-school block often extending to about 6:00 PM for families — but families should confirm exact times with the school or Prairie Mountain Health.

The clinic, organized by Prairie Mountain Health in partnership with the school, will offer routine Grade 6 and Grade 8 immunizations alongside seasonal flu and COVID-19 (Fall/Winter Shield) vaccines. Henderson students, their siblings and immediate family members are welcome to attend.

Parents must sign consent forms for children under 16. Forms will be sent home through the school’s HES News system and the Mountain View School Division portal. Manitoba’s “Mature Minor” doctrine may allow some 16‑ and 17‑year‑olds to consent if they demonstrate sufficient understanding, but school clinics commonly still require a signed parent or guardian consent form; families are therefore encouraged to bring a signed parental form.

Public health officials note that mid‑winter is a critical time to boost community immunity against respiratory illnesses and that bringing low‑barrier clinics to schools helps more families get vaccinated. Prairie Mountain Health guidance emphasizes that immunization is one of the safest and most effective public‑health interventions to protect people from serious disease.

Attendees should use the school’s designated community entrance to enter the gym so clinic traffic remains separate from regular classes; please confirm the exact entrance with the school. School administrators add that hosting clinics in the gym keeps students healthy and helps them stay in class.
