The Dauphin Public Library in Dauphin, Manitoba, will host two free evening screenings as part of its NFB/Kanopy Film Club on January 7 and February 4, 2026, both starting at 7:00 p.m., according to the Parkland Regional Library’s Dauphin branch calendar.

On January 7, the library will screen Work Different (2024), a 78-minute NFB documentary that examines the origins, impacts, upsides and uncertainties of remote work. On February 4, it will show Denzel Washington: Falling Forward (2025), listed at 55 minutes on the branch calendar (some sources list the runtime at about 60 minutes); the film is a biographical documentary about the acclaimed actor’s career and personal journey.

These events use the NFB’s “NFB in Libraries” program and the branch’s NFB/Kanopy Film Club partnership to provide community screenings. They build on the library’s tradition of first-Wednesday film nights, turning the branch at 504 Main Street N, Dauphin, MB R7N 1C9 into a gathering place for discussion and community connection.

Admission is free, and all are welcome. Residents can contact the Dauphin Public Library at (204) 638-6410 ext. 227 or DauphinLibrary@parklandlib.mb.ca to ask about seating, registration or accessibility accommodations.

By offering these in-person screenings, the library seeks to enrich local cultural life and provide opportunities for neighbours to meet and share ideas in a relaxed setting.
