Mountain View School Division has released a new transportation plan for Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School that will take effect on January 5, 2026, the first day back after winter break. Students and families should expect changes to pickup and drop-off locations, travel times and eligibility for bus routes.
The division is switching to a new transportation management system that replaces manual route planning. Under the updated plan, some bus stops will be consolidated—meaning fewer stops spaced farther apart—to improve safety, on-time performance and cost-effectiveness. Families living near the edge of the ‘walk zone’ may see their eligibility for bus service adjusted.
“MVSD is excited to announce that our division is implementing a new school bus route planning and transportation management system. This software will streamline transportation requests and routing while providing significant improvements…,” the division said in its official announcement.
The changes follow a community consultation event at DRCSS in mid-2024, where community members discussed transportation and divisional priorities. Feedback from that meeting helped inform the new route configurations.
Families are encouraged to verify their student’s updated route information through the division’s online portal or by calling the MVSD Transportation Department at (204) 638-3001 before January 5, 2026.
