The Klondike Visitors Association, operating under the Visit Dawson City brand, has launched a preview campaign of major events and attractions coming to Dawson City, Yukon, for the summer of 2026. The announcement highlights long‑standing traditions such as the Dawson City Music Festival and the Yukon Gold Panning Championships, helping local businesses and visitors plan roughly 12–18 months in advance.

One of the season’s biggest draws will be the Dawson City Music Festival, set for July 17–19, 2026. Earlier that month, the community will host the Yukon Gold Panning Championships on July 4, 2026. These flagship events are important to the local economy and typically draw performers and visitors to town.

The 2026 summer season will also feature Discovery Day Celebrations from August 14–17, marking 130 years since gold was found in the Klondike. The weekend often includes a community parade. The Annual Boat Parade is also listed among community activities, though event listings show it at other times of the year — check the Visit Dawson City/KVA calendar for the specific 2026 date. Visitors can also expect the return of the traditional nightly cancan shows at Diamond Tooth Gerties, a long‑running attraction established in 1971.

Local businesses — including hotels and restaurants — rely on early announcements to manage staffing and budgets for the busy summer months. Because Dawson City is remote, organizers say providing dates early helps travelers plan trips well ahead; this early interest helps stabilize the town’s economy during the peak season from May through September.
