The Dawson Creek Choral Society (DCCS) is hosting a new themed concert called “Dream” at the Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) on January 30, 2026, in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The show will feature local adult and youth singers performing music centered on themes of discovery, innovation and imagination.
Artistic Director Caitlyn Triebel will lead the choir through the performance, which aims to showcase the talent of people living in the community. Triebel presented to Dawson Creek City Council on October 1, 2024, to update council on DCCS programs and to request municipal sponsorship and support.
The concert will be held at the city’s main arts hub — the Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre, located in the historic Calvin Kruk Centre for the Arts — a building that houses local guilds, archives and a full-service cafe. The event is supported by local donors and corporate sponsors; season partners named by DCCS include Canadian Tire (Jumpstart) and Bannister Ford.
The performance is one of the DCCS’s major winter showcases. The Society was launched in late 2014 and has since provided music education and performance opportunities in the South Peace region. Tickets will give residents the chance to see a large community concert presented in KPAC’s professional 215-seat auditorium.
