A locally produced film will hit the big screen in Dawson Creek this month. Dark Ties Media, a video production company based in the city, is premiering its film “Raw Heel” at the Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) on June 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., with a second screening on June 22 at 1:00 p.m.
Residents can see the work of their neighbours come to life at KPAC, located at 10401 10 St. The venue has been a cornerstone for arts and events in Dawson Creek since 1986.
General admission tickets cost $15.00, plus a $0.38 service fee, and are available through the KPAC website. After each screening, there will be a meet-and-greet in the lobby with the filmmakers and cast, giving people a chance to ask questions and learn more about how the movie was made.
Dark Ties Media focuses on video production, social media marketing, photography, and brand building from its downtown office on 102nd Ave. The company is part of a small but growing film scene in Dawson Creek that also includes MacWood Productions, another local group known for feature films like “Hard Reset” and “Shadows.”
The premiere offers a rare chance for residents to support homegrown talent and enjoy a night out at a historic local venue.
