Deep River and District Health (DRDH) released the January 2026 edition of its monthly newsletter, The Zinger, on February 4, 2026, providing residents of North Renfrew with updates on medical services and campus developments at the North Renfrew Health Campus (117 Banting Drive, Deep River, ON).

The newsletter follows the 2025 opening of the new Primary Care Building, which consolidated family medicine practices and clinic services at the campus. It outlines new booking protocols — including a centralized intake/booking system for appointments — that patients should consult when scheduling care.

Work is also continuing on the transition to a new 96‑bed Four Seasons Lodge long‑term care home, which will replace the current 14‑bed lodge on site. This expansion has been supported by the DRDH Foundation’s “Closer to Home” campaign, a $2.5 million fundraising initiative to help furnish and equip the new long‑term care home and related campus needs.

The January issue also includes volunteer opportunities and program schedules for the remainder of the winter. Paper copies are available at the health campus and a digital version is posted on DRDH’s official newsroom (and shared via the organization’s LinkedIn), where residents can read the full newsletter and related service notices.
