On January 17, 2026, over 40 local businesses and organizations will gather at the W.H. Collins Centre (Collins Hall) in Elliot Lake, Ontario. The event is designed to give residents a single place to find local services, buy products, and learn about what the community has to offer.
The Elliot Lake & District Chamber of Commerce and the city’s Economic Development Office are working together to host the showcase. It will include a variety of vendors, ranging from retail artisans to professional service providers and seasonal contractors.
One of the main goals of the event is to help residents book services like lawn care and landscaping before the busy spring season begins. This allows local contractors to fill their schedules early while helping homeowners get a head start on their property maintenance.
City officials, including Mayor Andrew Wannan, have emphasized the municipality’s focus on helping local businesses grow and reach more people through community events. By shopping at the showcase, residents help keep spending within the local economy during the winter months when business is often slower.
Admission to the event is free for the public and will include service demonstrations and networking opportunities. The showcase serves as a central marketplace to help both long-time residents and newcomers connect with reliable local businesses.
