The City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, will start clearing snow from residential streets on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This work helps keep neighbourhood roads safe and prevents deep ruts from forming as the snow piles up during the winter.

Residents can find a full map and the clearing times for their specific area on the official website. Checking these tools helps people know exactly when they need to move their cars to let the plows through their neighbourhood.

City crews will place physical no-parking signs on streets at least 24 hours before the clearing begins. According to the City of Fort Saskatchewan, any cars or trucks still on the street during the designated times will be ticketed and could be towed to a nearby clear road.

Drivers who do not move their vehicles could face a fine of about $250. During the work, crews usually leave a flat layer of packed snow on the road instead of clearing it down to the bare pavement.
