The City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, is asking people to help choose where police should focus their efforts by filling out a short survey in February 2026. This feedback from the community will help the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP decide on its main goals for the 2026-2027 year. The survey focuses on everyday concerns like traffic enforcement, property crime, and general neighbourhood safety.

The Fort Saskatchewan Policing Committee, which is made up of six local residents and one city councillor, uses these answers to create a yearly plan for local police. This process ensures that officers are working on the issues that matter most to the people living in the city. In previous years, these surveys led to a bigger focus on preventing rural crime and making police more visible in the community.

The online survey is anonymous and takes about two minutes to finish. Residents can also get involved by attending monthly committee meetings held on the third Thursday of each month. After the survey closes tonight, the results will be studied and given to the Fort Saskatchewan City Council to help guide safety decisions for the coming year.
