The Gananoque and Area Food Bank is asking local businesses for donations to support a major spring fundraiser planned for April 2026 in Gananoque, Ontario. The organization has launched a long-lead “Silent Auction Vendor Call”—more than 12 months before the event—to recruit gift cards, professional services and physical products for a silent auction.

Business owners who want to contribute can contact organizers via the Gananoque Business, Events and News Facebook group, by emailing Ganfoodbank@gmail.com, or by visiting the food bank office at 497 King Street East.

Recent data shows about one in seven households in the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark region are food insecure, increasing demand on local food banks. Because the Gananoque and Area Food Bank relies entirely on community donations and receives no permanent government funding, these fundraising events are essential to replenish emergency food supplies.

The spring 2026 event follows a history of community fundraising in Gananoque and is being planned well in advance as part of the food bank’s longer-term financial planning and sustainability efforts.
