The Gimli Chamber of Commerce in Gimli, Manitoba, is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Heart of Business Awards to celebrate local workers and organizations. Nominations for the annual event opened on February 24, 2026, and will remain open until March 16, 2026.
This year’s awards feature 12 different categories, including two new ways to recognize local talent. Residents can now nominate people for the Trades in Action Award and the Agriculture and Fisheries Achievement Award, which highlight important industries in the Interlake region.
Tickets for the awards ceremony go on sale starting March 1, 2026, and will cost $85.00 each. The ceremony is a popular local tradition that often sells out quickly as the community gathers to support business leaders and volunteers.
Samantha Hampton, the president of the Chamber, helps lead the group of volunteers who organize the recognition program. The awards are designed to show appreciation for those who help grow the local economy and support families throughout the area.
