The Goderich Lions Club will host its “Share the Wealth” draw on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. EST live on Eastlink Channel 10. Community members can tune in to see the top prize of $1,067 awarded during the weekly televised bingo fundraiser that supports local causes.
“Share the Wealth” cards, priced between $2 and $5 depending on the package, are available until 6:00 p.m. on draw day at several Goderich-area retailers, including Finchers, Suncoast Variety and the Goderich Smoke Shop, as well as at Foodland in Clinton. Participants must call in if their ticket number is drawn to claim a prize.
All proceeds go to the Lions Club of Goderich Charitable Trust, which funds health and community initiatives. Recent grants have supplied eyeglasses to low-income residents through the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation and provided settlement support via the Huron Area Newcomer Fund.
The draw is part of the club’s long-running TV Bingo tradition, broadcast locally on Eastlink Community TV (Channel 10), Hurontel (Channel 1) and Tuckersmith Cable (Channel 1). The weekly fundraiser has been a fixture in Goderich since the 1970s, with progressive jackpots resetting each January to kick off the new fundraising season.
“The club’s official mission statement reads, ‘We are proud to be part of a global service group doing whatever is necessary for the benefit of our local communities,’” the club said. The January draw often sees extra participation as residents return from holiday events and look for ways to support local charities.
