The Huron County Museum in Goderich, Ontario, has opened registration for its March Break day camp, running March 16–20, 2026. The program, marketed as “Lights, Camera, History!”, focuses on the history of storytelling and technology and offers local children an educational option while providing parents with seasonal childcare.
Campers will spend the week exploring how communication has changed — from historical newspapers and photographic processes to more modern media — drawing on the museum’s archival collections and artifacts to illustrate the evolution of storytelling and technology. The museum’s collections include extensive digitized newspapers and photographic negatives that support those activities; confirm with the museum whether specific hands‑on sessions with equipment such as a printing press or telegraphy tools are included this year.
The program is held at the Huron County Museum, 110 North Street, Goderich. Daily activities run 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and are designed for children ages 5–10. Camp offerings typically include Junior Curator–style workshops and photography-related sessions drawing on material from the Reuben R. Sallows photographic collection.
Camp fees are listed at $150 per week, with a discounted rate of $130 per week for Museum Members. The museum’s March Break and seasonal day camps have historically filled quickly after registration opens.
