The Rotary Club of Goderich is inviting residents to its Annual Chili Cook-Off at the Goderich Fire Hall, 156 Wellington St., on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This winter fundraiser is part of the town’s Winterfest celebrations and aims to raise money for local food security and youth programs.

Attendees can purchase tasting ballots—traditionally priced between $10 and $15—to sample chili recipes from teams such as Harbour Hill Retirement Suites and the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital Foundation, as well as other community groups. Guests will vote for their favourite chili to determine the “People’s Choice” champion for 2026.

Proceeds from the event will support projects like the Goderich Free Little Pantry and The Well Youth Hub. In recent years, the cook-off raised approximately $2,819 for pantry installations at the Library, Water Tower Park, and John O’Keefe Park.

Organizers say the move from Knox Presbyterian Church to the Fire Hall reflects the Rotary Club of Goderich’s effort to integrate community events into a more central, civic space and to increase capacity. They encourage everyone to stop by, warm up with a bowl of chili, and help support local causes.
