The Happy Valley Ag & Recreation Club is hosting its annual general meeting on January 24, 2026, at Trinity United Church in Grand Valley, Ontario. The meeting is open to everyone in the community, including both farmers and residents who are simply interested in local recreation and agricultural topics. It serves as a key gathering for neighbours to discuss the club’s business and connect with others in the region.

The afternoon will feature guest speakers Josh Landman and Mel Karpenko from Grand River Farm, a local business known for pasture-raised animals. Mel Karpenko is a prominent figure in the provincial farming scene, having served as the 2023 Ontario Queen of the Furrow. The pair will share insights from their experience with sustainable farming and community agricultural projects.

Doors will open early for a social hour before the official meeting begins at 1:00 p.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in a quilt draw and sign up for new club memberships or renew existing ones. The event has gained attention in local online groups like The Grand Valley Collective, where residents have been encouraged to attend for networking and to support local initiatives.
