The Grande Prairie Farmers’ Market has officially opened its new permanent location at 10905 – 100 Street in downtown Grande Prairie. This move brings the market back to the city centre following a fire that caused extensive damage to its previous location in November 2025.
For the past several months, the market operated out of temporary spaces at Evergreen Park, including the TARA Centre and Clarkson Hall. These arrangements followed a fire on November 21, 2025, that severely damaged the roof and attic of the market’s former site at 101 Avenue and 101 Street. While the city has stated it will not play a role in rebuilding the original downtown site, the market has successfully established its new permanent home.
The Grande Prairie Farmers’ Market Society continues to host approximately 50 vendors. Residents can find fresh produce, baked goods, and artisan products at the new location on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The market has served the community for over 50 years, with a long history of supporting local growers and artisans. The society was incorporated in 2003 and remains committed to providing a space for local commerce in the downtown area.
