The Grande Prairie Stompede Association is looking for local talent to enter its seventh annual artwork competition in Grande Prairie, Alberta. This year’s contest features the theme “Dust, Dirt, and Determination” and offers several cash prizes for the top entries.
The competition is open to any artist aged 16 and older who lives in the Peace Region or anywhere in Alberta. Those interested in participating have until May 3, 2026, to submit their applications.
Winners of the competition will receive cash rewards, including $3,000 for first place, $1,250 for second place, and $750 for third place. The top 10 finalists will also have their work displayed at the Arts and Cultural Expo.
The exhibition takes place at Evergreen Park as part of the annual Stompede festivities. This event highlights regional creative work alongside the traditional professional rodeo and chuckwagon racing.
