A new indoor sports and social spot is opening its doors in Grande Prairie, Alberta, to give local athletes a place to play all year round. The Paddle Club will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, and its grand opening weekend (January 22–25, 2026) will kick off the club’s inaugural season; a sanctioned opening tournament is scheduled for Feb. 27–Mar. 1, 2026.

The facility is located in Unit 340 at The Prairie Mall, 11801 – 100 Street, Grande Prairie. The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce will help kick off the grand opening event with a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. (ribbon-cutting part of a 3:00–5:00 p.m. event on Jan. 22).

Visitors can use professional-grade pickleball courts, high-tech golf simulators, and interactive darts, along with an on-site kitchen and bar that opens at 11:00 a.m. daily. Players can book court time through a mobile app or pay drop-in rates, which start at $40 per hour for a full court (split among four people).

The opening weekend marks the start of the club’s inaugural season, with tournament details and registration listed on PickleballTournaments.com. While the club is inside the mall, it includes a dedicated exterior entrance so people can access the facility outside regular mall hours. Residents can find more updates on the club’s Facebook page.
