The ninth annual Bear Creek Folk Festival announced its 2026 performer list on March 26, 2026, bringing Canadian rock legends and local stars to Grande Prairie, Alberta. The music event will take place from August 14 to August 16, 2026, at Borstad Hill in Muskoseepi Park.
The 2026 artist lineup features more than 23 acts, including headliners Tom Cochrane and American folk duo The Milk Carton Kids. Fans can also see award-winning country artist Tenille Townes, who was born and raised in the local community. Other performers set to appear include Fred Penner and the East Pointers.
Tickets are available through Showpass, with prices ranging from $25 for a single day to $189 for the full weekend. According to the Bear Creek Folk Festival, tickets for Saturday have already sold out. Children aged 11 and under and seniors aged 80 and over can attend the event for free.
The festival is run by the Bear Creek Folk Festival Society, a non-profit group that uses about 500 volunteers to manage the four stages. The event grounds are located a few minutes from the downtown area of the City of Grande Prairie. The city serves as a regional hub for over 295,000 people across Northern Alberta and British Columbia.
