Starting March 9, 2026, people living and driving in the Arbour Hills area of Grande Prairie, Alberta, will see changes to traffic due to a new utility project. The City of Grande Prairie says that Eastlink is starting underground work that will affect Arbour Hills Boulevard and 132 Avenue.
The project is expected to last until April 11, 2026. Drivers should watch for traffic being narrowed down to a single lane at times, with temporary signals used to guide vehicles through the area.
To help with the morning and afternoon rush, no work is allowed near St. John Paul II Catholic School between 7:30-9:30 a.m. or between 3-5 p.m. on school days. Outside of these times, crews will work between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
While there are no planned detours for cars, people walking in the neighborhood will need to follow posted signs. The east sidewalk on Arbour Hills Boulevard and the south sidewalk on 132 Avenue will be closed, and pedestrians will be directed to use other sidewalks.
