Klaus Schweitzer, a student at Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Grimsby, Ontario, won a gold medal at the provincial wrestling championships held March 3-4, 2026. This victory at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) tournament in Peterborough showcases his top ranking among high school athletes in the province.

The wrestling team is coached by Megan Schweitzer, who has a history of success in the sport. During her own time as a high school student, she became the first girl to win four consecutive gold medals at the same provincial level before returning to lead the program in Grimsby.

The school has established a competitive wrestling culture, with students regularly qualifying for regional and provincial events. This latest gold medal reflects the continued development of local athletes within the Niagara region.

Schweitzer finished first in the 38-kilogram weight class after competing against students from across Ontario. The win marks a major milestone for his athletic career and brings a provincial title back to the local community.
