The Business Centre Guelph-Wellington is holding a free in-person workshop for local entrepreneurs in Elora, Ontario, on February 19, 2026. This session focuses on creating customer personas, which are profiles that help business owners understand exactly who they are selling to and how to reach them.
The event runs from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at CW Co-Work, located at 6512 Wellington Rd 7, Unit B. This session is designed to provide small-business owners and independent operators with practical marketing and sales techniques they can use right away.
Research from 2026 shows that 58 per cent of customers consider personalized experiences to be a top priority when choosing where to spend their money. Kristel Manes, the Executive Director of the Business Centre, said that local business owners have asked for more support with the basic parts of running a company, such as marketing.
Since it began in 1999, the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington has supported the creation of more than 12,000 jobs in the region. This workshop is part of a series aimed at bringing professional advice and training directly to business owners in their own communities.
