Centennial Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph, Ontario, will host its annual Cookies & Cram study session on January 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., planned to take place in the school’s Library Learning Commons. Open to all Grade 9–12 students, the four-hour session is designed to provide targeted academic support during the final instructional week of Semester 1, directly preceding the provincial examination period.

The session, organized by the school’s Student Success Team and supported by senior student mentors, will feature peer tutoring in core subjects such as mathematics, science and English. Teachers and trained student leaders will lead review workshops and study-skills sessions, and complimentary cookies and refreshments will be available to help reduce exam-related stress.

The school’s motto, “Success Through Hard Work,” and CCVI’s mission and programming inform events like Cookies & Cram. The session also aligns with the Upper Grand District School Board’s Multi-Year Plan (2022–2026) goals of improving student achievement and well-being, and supports equity by giving students from both academic and vocational streams access to exam-preparation resources.

Students are encouraged to drop in throughout the four-hour session. If registration is required for specific supports or capacity reasons, registration links are typically posted 2–3 weeks before the event via edsembli Connect or the UGConnect app; families should contact the school to confirm. Staff and the Student Success Team typically prioritize supports for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), but parents and students should contact the school in advance to confirm available accommodations for this particular session.

The event is part of Centennial CVI’s ongoing efforts to ensure students enter the exam period better prepared and less anxious. For details and updates, see the school’s official page.
