The Guelph Chamber of Commerce will hold its next Business After 5 networking event at Hopewell Support Services on February 24, 2026, giving local businesses a chance to connect with social service leaders and explore inclusive hiring and procurement opportunities.

The mixer runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Hopewell’s main centre at 381 Elmira Road North, Unit 1, Guelph, ON N1K 1H3. The 90-minute format includes informal networking, a brief presentation by Hopewell staff and light refreshments. Registration is open to Chamber members through the Chamber’s member portal; the event and dates are listed in the Guelph Chamber’s 2025–2026 sponsorship package.

“The Guelph Chamber is a leader in the chamber network,” said Andy Veilleux, president and CEO of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, “and I’m excited to work alongside our members to champion their needs.” Hosting the event at Hopewell Support Services — an organization that supports people with developmental and physical disabilities — reflects the Chamber’s commitment to inclusive economic prosperity.

“We are always about growing and building more capacity in the system to be able to allow us to support the community,” said Maria Zegarac, executive director of Hopewell Support Services. The event offers businesses a low-stakes environment to learn how hiring people with disabilities or purchasing from social enterprises can strengthen their operations and benefit the wider community.

Chamber members and local business owners are invited to attend to meet potential partners and learn about social procurement opportunities that could benefit both business and community well‑being.
