Guelph Police Service is asking for public help to identify five men who stole nearly $2,400 in vodka from the LCBO on Clair Road East (Pergola Commons) on Dec. 1, 2025. The group entered the store at about 4:25 p.m. and, police say, took the liquor in a matter of minutes before fleeing in a white Toyota Tundra pickup. The Guelph Police Service media release adds that the truck had a black box and tailgate and a licence plate beginning with ‘AA.’
According to the Guelph Police Service media release, ‘Three picked up cases of vodka off a cart while another filled a bag with loose bottles and the fifth waited at the front door to open the entry gate and allow them to flee.’
Police say the theft is part of a trend of organised alcohol thefts in Guelph this year and have noted the frequent involvement of white Toyota Tundra pickups, which have been targeted in a number of vehicle thefts in 2025. The LCBO and other retailers have increased security measures, including controlled-entry gates, in response to a spike in thefts.
