Guelph cyclists and community members are invited to mark Sunday, June 28, 2026, on their calendars for the 13th annual Tour de Guelph, a charity ride raising funds for essential equipment at Guelph General Hospital. The event starts and finishes at the W. F. Mitchell Athletics Centre on the University of Guelph campus (150 Reynolds Walk) and aims to support the hospital’s Bridge to a Healthier Future campaign, a multi‑million‑dollar effort to fund a community-based medical centre and related equipment.
Organized by the Rotary Club of Guelph South and the Rotary Club of Guelph Trillium in partnership with The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, the ride offers routes ranging from a 5 km family loop to a 113 km road challenge. Participants can also take part in the “Ride Anytime” option, logging miles independently in the days leading up to the event — a format introduced since 2020 that has boosted accessibility and fundraising totals in recent years.
Registration is expected to open in late March or early April 2026, with early-bird rates typically expiring in late May, and volunteer sign-ups running from April through June. Riders should complete registration by early May to guarantee jersey and apparel sizes, and more than 100 volunteers are typically needed for route marshals and check-in stations.
Cyclists can choose a “Fundraise-to-Ride” model — for the main routes (25 km and longer) this replaces the registration fee with a $50 minimum fundraising commitment — or a “Free-wheeler” model, which requires an upfront entry fee (the family 5/10 km route carries a separate minimum $25 donation requirement). Early registration and team fundraising help finance the new community-based medical centre at Conestoga College and a second MRI machine — projects highlighted in The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital’s Bridge to a Healthier Future campaign.
Over its 12-year history, Tour de Guelph has raised more than $1.4 million for patient care equipment, with the 2025 record-breaking season netting $226,500. Organizers encourage interested riders and volunteers to join the email list on the official Tour de Guelph website for registration alerts and event updates.
