Hanover Civic Theatre will launch its 17th concert season on Friday, September 25, 2026, with a tribute double-bill featuring ZZ Top and The Fabulous Blues Brothers. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. at the theatre at 443 10th Avenue in Hanover and is expected to draw music fans from Southwestern Ontario. Tickets are priced at $45 and general admission seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event is produced by Back Porch Events, the professional promoter behind the theatre’s main concert series. According to the official event listing, doors open 30 minutes before show time and the tiered, 300-seat theatre is designed to provide good sightlines for attendees.
Since its reopening in 2022 after extensive renovations, the century-old venue has become a regional hub for well-known tribute shows. The upgrades improved accessibility, acoustics and climate control, allowing Hanover to compete for professional bookings that were once limited by the building’s age.
Tickets can be purchased online through Back Porch Events or in person at Cravings Family Restaurant, a local cash‐only outlet. Early sales for this feature opener are expected to boost interest in season passes and future concerts.
Local hotels and eateries anticipate a bump in bookings as fans travel from Owen Sound, Walkerton and Durham for the show. The Town of Hanover sees the concert series as a key part of downtown revitalization and a draw for “dinner and a show” visitors.
