The Island Waste Management Corporation has released the 2026 printable collection calendars for residents in Kensington, Prince Edward Island, to help households stay updated on their garbage and recycling days. This resource allows local families to see their specific pickup dates for the entire year.
There will be no waste collection in the community on Monday, February 16, 2026, because of the Islander Day holiday. According to the Island Waste Management Corporation, any pickups that would normally happen on that Monday will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, instead.
Residents can now sync these collection dates with digital tools like Google Calendar or iCal to receive reminders on their devices. The Town of Kensington also provides residents with access to these printable files and digital tools to help prevent missed pickups.
The province has also updated its interactive sorting guide to help residents correctly separate items into compost, recycling, and waste bins. This guide is intended to reduce contamination in the loads collected by Label Construction and Sanitation, the contractor currently serving the region.
