The Ontario Minor Hockey Association is hosting its top-level AAA and U21 championship tournaments in Kingston, Ontario, from March 27 to March 29, 2026. This major event brings together the best youth teams from across the province to compete for the prestigious Red Hats, which is the prize awarded to championship winners.

Most games will be held at the INVISTA Centre on Gardiners Road, a facility that features four full-sized ice pads. The city is hosting several age groups this weekend, including the U11, U13, and U15 AAA divisions, along with the U21 and Tier 1 categories.

Winning a Red Hat is considered the ultimate prize in the association, and the tradition has been part of many professional players’ early careers. Famous NHL stars such as Steven Stamkos, Corey Perry, and Logan Couture all won these championships before moving on to professional hockey.

The championships are presented by the Egg Farmers of Ontario and feature more than 330 teams competing for 44 titles over four weekends. As the largest minor hockey association in the world with over 80,000 players, the event is expected to bring a large number of visiting families to the local area.

Fans who are unable to attend the games in person can watch the matches live through a streaming service provided by LiveBarn. This weekend marks the third of four championship events held across the province this season.
