The Black Gold School Division is hosting an in-person Trades Career and Employment Fair at Leduc Composite High School on March 26, 2026. This event gives Grade 9-12 students and their families a direct chance to meet with over 60 industry vendors and explore various career paths in the skilled trades.
The fair takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is featured on the official community calendar for the City of Leduc. Attendees can learn about roles in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and esthetics, with students encouraged to bring resumes to apply for positions on the spot.
The school division serves approximately 13,000 students across 32 different schools in Central Alberta. These schools are located in several nearby communities, such as Beaumont, Devon, and Leduc.
Hosting the event in person allows the division to connect students directly with regional employers to support local workforce development. This effort helps bridge the gap between education and the local labour market by providing youth with tangible pathways to employment.
