The Lethbridge Police Service has charged three men with first-degree murder following the death of a 27-year-old man in Lethbridge, Alberta.
The investigation began on the morning of March 27, 2026, when police and emergency responders were called to an apartment unit at the Garden Villa complex in the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South. Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old local man who was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a rapid investigation, authorities arrested three local men: 43-year-old Darcy Andrew Medicine Crane, 27-year-old Jordan Frank North Peigan, and 42-year-old Nicholas Rodney Scout. According to investigators, the victim and the three accused were known to one another, and police have gathered evidence indicating the incident was a targeted act.
The first two suspects were taken into custody on March 28 and formally charged on March 30. The third suspect, Scout, was arrested late on March 31 after police executed search warrants at two residences on Mt Crandell Crescent on the city’s westside.
The legal proceedings for the accused are currently underway. Medicine Crane appeared in court on March 30, while North Peigan is scheduled to appear on April 7. Police have stated that the investigation remains active and that they have not ruled out the possibility of further charges.
