Residents in the Town of Lincoln, Ontario, now have the official dates for their 2026 property tax payments, starting with the first deadline on February 27, 2026. According to the Town of Lincoln Property Tax Due Dates page, the instalment deadlines for 2026 are February 27, April 30, July 31, and September 29 (the Town lists instalments on the last business day of those months).

Local officials are reminding homeowners that the town keeps approximately 37% (about 37 cents of every dollar) of the total tax bill to fund local services such as parks, recreation, and the maintenance of local roads. The Town’s budget materials note the Town’s share is roughly 37–38% and Finance can confirm the exact decimal split for 2026.

The remainder of the tax money is sent to other government bodies — about 58% goes to the Niagara Region to fund services such as police, EMS (ambulance) and regional transit, and roughly 5% goes to local school boards. Residents can use the Niagara Region tax calculator to see how an individual bill is divided.

Homeowners can pay their bills through their bank, in person at Town Hall, or through the Town of Lincoln Billing & Payments online portal. Those who pay by credit card should be aware that a 2.5% convenience fee via Paymentus Corporation is in effect, effective January 1, 2026.

These tax dates follow the town’s most recent budget adoption on November 24, 2025. Charlotte Tunikaitis, Director of Finance/Treasurer, and the Town’s finance team handle tax billing to ensure the Town has the funds needed for daily operations and community projects.
