The Town of Milton, Ontario, started a partial road closure on Appleby Line between Derry Road and Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area on March 3, 2026. This closure is necessary to allow crews to safely remove trees as part of the town’s ongoing maintenance program.

The work began at noon on March 3 and is expected to continue until March 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. While the road is partially closed, local traffic will still be allowed to pass through the area, but all other drivers should expect delays.

To help move traffic around the work zone, a detour has been set up using Derry Road, Bell School Line, and 14 Side Road. Drivers are encouraged to follow the posted signs and allow for extra travel time while the tree removal is underway.

The town is performing this work as part of its Roads to Possibility project, which focuses on keeping community infrastructure safe for everyone. Residents can check the town’s website for any further updates on the progress of the work or changes to the timeline.
