The Milton Town Council is preparing to meet on March 16, 2026, to discuss several major projects that will shape growth and housing options in Milton, Ontario.

The meeting will include public sessions regarding the Agerton Secondary Plan and the Milton Education Village development. These plans are central to how the town manages new construction and community spaces for future residents.

Local leaders will also look at extending a program that provides financial incentives for rental and affordable housing. If approved, this support for housing projects would continue until December 18, 2027.

History is also on the agenda, with plans to move the Socrates Center house to a new location. The council also intends to officially protect the Knox Presbyterian Church at 170 Main Street East by designating it under the Ontario Heritage Act.

Finally, the council will discuss how town operations will continue if their authority becomes restricted during an upcoming election period. This plan ensures that the Town of Milton can keep running smoothly even if the council cannot make certain major decisions for a short time.
