The Halton Region is holding a free oral health clinic on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Halton Regional Centre (1151 Bronte Road, Oakville) to help families and seniors from Milton and other Halton municipalities access dental care.
The clinic will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registered Dental Hygienists will provide oral health screenings and help residents determine whether they qualify for government-funded dental programs.
The event is aimed at children up to age 17 and low-income seniors (age 65+) who have no other form of dental benefits. Staff can help families apply for Healthy Smiles Ontario and assist eligible seniors with the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program, which can cover routine and urgent or emergency dental work.
Appointments are required. Residents must book in advance by calling 311, by using Halton Region’s online contact form, or by emailing accesshalton@halton.ca.
According to Halton Region Public Health, these screenings are visual assessments only and do not include cleanings, X-rays, or full dental exams. The main goal is to identify urgent dental issues and connect eligible residents with financial assistance for dental treatment.
Because the clinic is held at the regional headquarters in Oakville, Milton residents without a car may need to use public transit such as Milton Transit or GO Transit to attend; reporters and residents should check transit schedules and connections in advance.
