The Milton School of Jiu-Jitsu is hosting a special community open house on Sunday, February 15, 2026, to coincide with the Family Day long weekend in Milton, Ontario. The school says the event will feature structured games and obstacle-course-style activities designed to help families stay active and connect with one another during the holiday.

Activities will take place on the training mats at 310 Main Street East (lower level) in downtown Milton. The school — established in 1974 — has served the community for decades. Kyoshi Darlene Kranstz (owner and head instructor) plans to emphasize physical puzzles and non-combat exercises rather than formal fighting lessons to make the day accessible for all ages.

The celebration is supported by the Downtown Milton BIA, which views such events as a way to bring more visitors to downtown shops and restaurants. The school is also listed on Experience Milton’s venue directory.

Because mat space may be limited, families are encouraged to check the school’s website (http://www.miltonjiu-jitsu.ca/) or call ahead to confirm whether pre-registration, capacity limits or waivers apply. The open house provides an opportunity for residents to meet staff and explore the facility in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
