Residents in Milton, Ontario, can get broken household items fixed for free during a community cleanup and Repair Café organized by Sustainable Milton on January 24, 2026. The event is scheduled to run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is listed by organizers as taking place atthe Milton Sports Centre.
Local volunteer “fixers” with skills in electronics, sewing, jewelry repair and woodworking will be on hand to help repair small appliances, clothing and other household items free of charge. The Repair Café model encourages residents to extend the life of their belongings rather than sending them to landfill, an approach highlighted by Sustainable Milton and local coverage in MiltonToday.ca.
In addition to the repair work, volunteers will take part in a neighborhood cleanup of the park.
Those who wish to bring an item for repair are asked to register in advance by emailing repair@sustainablemilton.ca so volunteer fixers can prepare the appropriate tools and plan capacity. More information is available on Sustainable Milton’s events page.
