Schneider Electric Canada is moving its Canadian headquarters to Milton, Ontario, and is scheduled to officially open on January 15, 2026, according to Schneider Electric Canada. The relocation from Mississauga to the Halton Region brings a new 40,000+‑square‑foot facility that will serve as a hub for research and development, software services, and staff training.

The new building includes the first dedicated EcoFit Centre in Canada. The EcoFit program focuses on retrofitting and modernizing existing electrical equipment rather than full replacement, helping businesses save money and reducing industrial waste by extending asset lifetimes and keeping hardware out of landfills.

According to Schneider Electric Canada, this move follows the opening of a 130,000‑square‑foot distribution centre in nearby Halton Hills in October 2024. The company said it chose Milton because of its central location for customers and its access to skilled workers in the growing residential areas nearby.

Emily Heitman, President of Schneider Electric Canada, said the expansion demonstrates the company’s commitment to local innovation and to providing fast access to critical electrical components. Local officials in the Town of Milton described the arrival of the global company as a significant win for the local economy and for jobs.
