The Town of Minto, Ontario, is hosting a workshop this Saturday, February 7, 2026, to help residents connect with local volunteer groups and community projects. The event, called Connect Create Collaborate, starts at 10:00 AM at the Harriston & Minto Community Centre and aims to fill roles for upcoming cultural and art programs.

Local groups like the Minto Cultural Roundtable and the Minto Arts Council are looking for help with festivals, museum programs, and new art installations planned for the year. The workshop is designed to help non-profits find more workers and give people a chance to learn how they can contribute to their town’s growth.

Organizations such as the Palmerston Lions and representatives from the Move to Minto initiative will be present to meet with neighbours and discuss open positions. Attendees will participate in networking sessions to match their personal skills with the needs of various community and heritage projects.

The workshop is free to attend, but residents are asked to register in advance through Eventbrite to help with planning. Doors at the Harriston & Minto Community Centre will open at 9:00 AM, and the session will finish by 2:30 PM.
