The Miramichi Zone of the New Brunswick Senior Citizens’ Federation (NBSCF) will gather for its monthly meeting on January 27, 2026, at the Friendly Neighbours senior centre in Nelson–Miramichi. The regional meeting gives local clubs a chance to share information and coordinate on issues that affect seniors’ daily lives, including healthcare access and provincial legislation.
The session will be held at the centre on Sutton Road (26 Sutton Road), a heritage building locally known as the “White School” that now functions as a community hub for various groups. Nature NB lists the Sutton Road senior centre as a meeting place for local organizations, and area clubs are expected to send representatives to coordinate regional events; representatives from nearby Miramichi-area clubs, including Nelson, are expected to attend.
Attendees will discuss ways to help retirees manage the rising cost of living and to stay active during the winter months. The agenda typically includes treasury reports and planning for social activities such as community dinners and 45-card game events.
