The Mississippi Mills Community Fund will begin accepting grant applications on February 17, 2026, to support local projects across the municipality of Mississippi Mills, Ontario. This program allows local non-profit groups and volunteer organizations to request financial support for programs that directly benefit residents in Almonte, Pakenham, and Ramsay.

The fund is managed through a partnership with the Ottawa Community Foundation, which handles the financial management and grant administration. To be eligible for the funding, applicants must be registered charities or organizations recognized by the federal government.

This year’s funding cycle continues to focus on projects that improve mental health and well-being for people living in the community. There is also a specific category for local artists called the Noreen Young Award for the Arts, which was created alongside the Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival.

Money for these grants comes from donations made by local neighbours and businesses rather than through municipal taxes. All projects receiving support must take place within the boundaries of Mississippi Mills to ensure the benefits stay within the local community.
