The Morden Bombers are bringing former players back to the ice for a special reunion game on Friday, February 7, 2026, at the Huron Window Corporation Arena inside the Access Event Centre in Morden, Manitoba. The event is designed to connect the current team with its history while raising money for local youth hockey programs.

The game starts at 8:00 p.m. and will feature alumni from different eras of the team’s history, including players from the 1978–79 and 1981–82 championship squads. Fans can expect a night of local sports that celebrates the club’s long-standing connection to the community since it first started in the late 1960s.

Head coach Lee Kowalski, who said in a Sept. 12, 2025 season preview that the group is “primed for something special,” says the current roster is in good form as it continues the 2025/26 season. The organization officially re-adopted the “Bombers” name in 2020 following a community vote and broader provincial recommendations to retire racially sensitive nicknames; the team had previously used the “Redskins” name.

Money raised during the evening is expected to benefit the Morden Minor Hockey Association, with fundraisers likely to include silent auctions and shooting or “Shoot-to-Win” contests commonly used at SEMHL community nights. Tickets are expected to be available at the door for residents who want to see returning legends and support local sports development.
