Environment Canada ended a yellow fog advisory for Morden, Manitoba, on February 13, 2026, as visibility returned to normal across the region.

The weather alert was originally issued at 4:25 AM on Thursday, February 12, after thick fog caused near-zero visibility on local roads. Under the federal colour-coded system introduced in late 2025, this yellow advisory indicated that weather impacts were expected to be moderate and short-term for the community.

The foggy conditions coincided with an unseasonably warm stretch where Morden recorded a high of 3 degrees Celsius on Friday. This temperature is 10 degrees warmer than the historical normal high of minus 7 degrees Celsius for this time of year.

While the formal advisory is over, fog patches are expected to return overnight on Friday before clearing again on Saturday morning. Parents and commuters should continue to check for updates from the Western School Division and the Garden Valley School Division, as both organizations have policies to delay buses if local visibility becomes unsafe.
