The Pembina Valley Snowkickers are updating their 697-kilometre snowmobile trail network around Morden, Manitoba, for the 2025–2026 season to improve safety and accessibility. The changes include rerouting trails away from water bodies with precarious ice and from areas affected by new fencing and construction so local riders have more reliable winter routes.

The club is specifically adjusting corridors to the west and north of Morden to accommodate land-use changes, including new farm fences and building projects. Club officials say the updates are intended to keep riders off water bodies and exposed patches of bare ground that can be hazardous in marginal winter conditions.

Riders are encouraged to check Snoman Inc.’s interactive trail map (or the Snowmobile Manitoba mobile app) to confirm whether trails are officially open before heading out. Staying on marked trails is important to protect long-standing agreements with local landowners who allow access across private property.

The trail network totals about 697 kilometres, connecting Morden to nearby communities such as Pilot Mound and Somerset. Club representatives say signing is not yet complete to their standards and volunteers are finishing signage and other safety work before trails are formally opened for the season.
