The Morden Thunder varsity hockey team secured their fourth straight league title on March 9, 2026, after a 3-0 victory against the Morris Mavericks in Morden, Manitoba. This win in the third and final game of the series allowed the team to claim the championship trophy once again.

The deciding game took place in front of a capacity home crowd of local fans, students, and family members. This victory marks a significant achievement for the Morden Thunder program, which has now won the championship for four consecutive seasons.

Goaltender Kali Hildebrand was named the series most valuable player for her performance on the ice. Head coach Kyle Nixon described Hildebrand as the backbone of the team throughout the final series.

Nixon credited the win to the team’s determination and defensive play, noting they had navigated roster challenges since early February. The team was praised for maintaining its winning culture despite regular changes to the high school player lineup.
