The City of Morden, Manitoba, is seeking volunteers to help run its annual Multicultural Winterfest on February 14, 2026. This free community event features skating, ice sculptures and multicultural food pavilions.

Organizers — the Morden Multicultural Winterfest Committee, in coordination with the City of Morden and partner organizations such as Regional Connections — are asking for volunteers to assist with setup on the evening of Friday, February 13, 2026, and to staff activities throughout the day on Saturday. Because the festival is free to attend, the number of volunteers who sign up directly affects how many activities and food pavilions can remain open and for how long.

The festival has been part of the community for more than 15 years. It has historically required roughly 100–150 volunteers to operate in typical years, though some reporting on larger editions of the event has noted volunteer participation as high as about 400 people. Local volunteer support is widely credited with keeping the winter celebration running year after year.

Most programming is scheduled to take place at the Access Event Centre, Morden Park and Lake Minnewasta. Anyone interested in volunteering or seeking more details should consult the City of Morden’s community/events page for the official sign-up and information.
