The South Central Regional Library released its February 2026 newsletter, which outlines several new activities and reading materials for the Morden branch in Manitoba. The branch, located at 514 Stephen Street, is focusing on the “I Love to Read Month” campaign throughout February to encourage community literacy. This month’s updates include the return of winter storytime sessions and the addition of a new “Local Authors” shelf to highlight writers from the area.
Children can participate in the LEGO Club or attend “Book Tasting” events designed to introduce young readers to different types of stories. According to the City of Morden community services information, the library serves as a central hub for residents of all ages. This year marks the start of the library system’s 61st year of service following its 60th-anniversary celebrations in 2025.
The library is also showing residents how to use digital tools that allow patrons to borrow electronic books and resources from home. Community members can pick up a paper copy of the newsletter at the branch or view it on the official library website. The Morden Branch also provides regular updates on event timings and preparations for the upcoming spring book sale on its social media page.
