Job seekers in and around Morris, Manitoba now have more options on the table as employers across the region posted several new positions this week. As of July 10, 2026, the Job Bank Canada website listed 78 opportunities within 50 kilometres of the town, with new roles appearing in agriculture, skilled trades, and childcare.
The fresh listings include a farm supervisor earning $27.98 an hour and a grain farm labourer at $23.00 an hour, both with eAcres Inc in Sperling, about 30 kilometres from Morris. Over in Winkler, Rocky Mountain Equipment needs an agricultural equipment technician, offering between $36.00 and $41.00 an hour.
Rocky Mountain Equipment is the largest independent dealer of Case IH and Case Construction equipment in Canada, running 46 branches across Western Canada. Its Winkler location serves one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing cities, a hub for commerce and farming in the Pembina Valley.
In Oak Bluff, roughly 45 kilometres from Morris, a nanny position was listed on July 9 by Palwinder Mann and Gurjeet Kaur, paying $26.00 an hour. All the new wages sit well above Manitoba’s $16.00 minimum wage, which is set to rise to $16.40 on October 1, 2026.
The wave of on-farm and skilled-trade hires aligns with a bigger picture. According to the Job Bank, labour shortages in Manitoba’s agricultural sector are expected to last, with one in five farming jobs projected to go unfilled by 2029. In 2021, the province’s agriculture sector employed roughly 23,900 people and generated $2.8 billion in GDP.
With planting and growing season in full swing, the new openings give workers in Morris and the surrounding Rural Municipality fresh chances to find full-time work close to home.
